Are You Missing Out On Business That Is Right Under Your Nose?

Community is something we, as a society, seem to have lost touch with over the years. Maybe it's because of the way technology has allowed us to connect, over great distances, or maybe we've just lost our sense of connection as we go through our busy live. However, everyone loses when you fail to connect with your community. You lose not only the connection in your life, but you lose in your business as well when you let connections and relationships slip away.

So, why aren't you doing more to connect more with your local community? Are you so focused on growing your business online, or across your city, or state, or maybe even across oceans, that you forget to look at what's right in your own backyard?

This happens in life, just like it does in business.

Try this as an exercise - put your finger on the tip of your nose, or just under your nose. Do you see it? You know it's there. You can feel it there, but you can't see it.

It's the same in your local community. The community is there, right under your nose, but you don't see it, or if you do, you probably aren't focusing on it.

It's time to start tapping into your community and building your business locally.

Maybe you don't realize how you can incorporate local communities into your business. Maybe you think what you do isn't ideal for getting clients in your local area.

Ask yourself this, "how can I do something that allows me and my business to become more connected with my community?"

What if you were to start a local mastermind ground, or a business networking group? Maybe you're not the only person in your area trying to run a small business. There are probably others, in your community, who know less than you, or probably even some who more than you.

Chances are, there are people in your community looking for a business just like yours, and they're resorting to the internet, or they're resorting to a bigger company, because that's all they know to do.

If you're not reaching out to your community, they can't reach back. They can't find you if they don't know you're there.

If your business is struggling, then you have a real opportunity with your local market. When you tie yourself to your community, and your community knows about you, and they know you're there, more often than not, your community is willing to help. The community is willing to come to you and offer their help to you. Show people you're there for them and they will be there for you and your business.

It doesn't matter what you do, just do something in your local community that lets them see you, and lets them build a relationship with you and your business.

Think about the ways you can work on expanding locally and stop missing what's right under your nose.
